PLOT POST FOR MAY 19TH
This format of plot post is designed for players to ask questions and find ways to influence the plot. Be bold and ask what you can or can't do; the worst that can happen is that I will say no. As plots in Save the Earth are not self resolving nor on a time limit they can evolve in many ways. Although some potential outcomes are given, they are little more than suggestion and can be changed by character action. What role you take is up to you.
The post is also open for players to plot and coordinate between one another.
Events occurring currently;
• The three statues as detailed in the previous plot post remain up and adored by the public. The huge buzz surrounding David Proud has resulted in some information regarding the mysterious fellow entering public knowledge, even if he himself has yet to appear or be interviewed or ...well, anything visible. The art gallery in which he has exhibited his works, however has caved to demand and revealed a little, alongside media investigation.
David Proud is a twenty seven year old man who has lived his entire life in the Locke region. He is, due to a tragic heart defect common in his family, the only surviving member of what was once the Native American tribe that lived primarily in the Locke Region. An uneventful childhood resulted in becoming a car mechanic for several years until late last year when his art career began. Remaining in obscurity until recently, he remains reclusive and has not appeared in public often. His work was noticed by chance by Jimmy Won of Thunder Corp. and he found it inspiring enough to bring the artist to the popular eye. Proud gets all of the stone for his statues from a now closed coal mine, a place he played at as a child.
Said coal mine can be visited and for details, see the potentially occurring segment.
Events occurring in the immediate future:
• Following the 'negotiations', the enemy has had its suspicions confirmed. Instead of facing up against a complicated organization with its own agendas and resources they're facing up against a bunch of idiot yahoos who have no idea what they're doing or even why they're doing it. This, alongside the fact that interference in their operations did not cease as the Whatever on the other end of the internet requested means a change of plans.
So basically they're swapping from cautious, potential deal making to 'just kill 'em.' It's way simpler all around. To that end, a Vermedi will soon be released into Locke and will be the source of Monster Of the Week style troubles (in case you didn't feel enough like a bunch of Magical Girls) for some time. From May 23rd until May 30th, two sightings of the Vermedi per day will be allowed. One per character and it will always escape the scene once noticed. As with the 'werewolf ghosts', arranging a schedule for these and keeping in mind those who may need them more is appreciated.
On top of that some individuals whose identities are already known will be directly targeted soon.
Events potentially occurring in the immediate future:
• Visiting the long abandoned coal mine will show that security is nothing more than a rusted chain link fence with a big hole in it. It's pretty remote and nothing suspicious leaps to mind unless someone chooses to enter the mine itself instead of just the clearing it inhabits. Inside the mine, characters will be able to find a little old man who will claim to be a Sage of Earth who has been awaiting their arrival for a long time and has answers to their questions. Answers he can only give once and can only be given in the confines of the mine.
Looks like we got ourselves an underground party, although when will depend on when characters wish to do so.
Potential Echo Opportunities
As previously, the statues in the art gallery represent the potential for two Echoes by touch and one by hanging around them long enough. Meeting the Sage of Earth gets one, so anyone who wants to attend the underground party will get one. From May 23rd onwards, Vermedi nonsense will commence and from that there will be numerous Echo chances. Just seeing the Vermedi is enough to trigger an Echo. Canon parallels are a constant.
Please direct questions regarding these plot points to the thread below and not the post in general.

Vermedi Scheduling
Like with the hauntings, preference will be given to characters with the least number of echoes if slots fill up so please tell me how many echoes your character has and I'll get on making that sheet and link it shortly.

Also, because I know very well Cinderella has a harder time getting echoes, I'll give her a bit more priority than others with a similar amount of echoes.
Tentative schedule spreadsheet is here
Sorry for the edit, but swapped Shawn over to the 26th. Had someone who needed a weekday slot. Nothing else changed besides the day.

...And I talked to Airdra/Hajime Aikawa-mun about having the two encounter the Vermedi at the same place and time. Since they both work at the same restaurant and all. We both agreed to this.
I'm gonna leave the rest of the deets to Airdra. o/

For now though, I put them down for the 28th and we'll see what happens! Tentative schedule is here
Sorry for the edit, but just wanted to add that since the mods said multiple characters in the same spot is a sighting, Al and Hajime can be one slot.

On the off chance that there's room, I'll put Hajime up, but he's got eight echoes so given the fewer slots this time, I'm not expecting him to fit in.

And I'll go ahead and mention I'm signing up my other character, Leonhardt, for this who has only two echoes. I'll leave Tamara out since she has six.
Also, just asked if two characters in the same place could count as one sighting, if it does, then there will also be an option to sight with a character who has a slot to give more people chances.

Some additional notes: Please read especially if your character has 5+ echoes!
It would be greatly appreciated to have as many people do sightings with one or more other characters. To be fair, going to ask that anyone with 5+ echoes (including any pending as of now) try and get with at least one other character. Not going to put a requirement on how many echoes the other character has, just find someone else to be with or even see if some random person in there would be up for it. Consider it a chance for some new CR as well!
I'll note additional people that day with a note in the cell, you'll see a little triangle in the corner and hovering over it will show who else is in there.
open for multi-character sighting, May 30th
Re: Vermedi Scheduling
I should note, I have no objection to slot-sharing, but Fred hasn't met up with anyone from the network so far.

No date preferences, and I'm willing to have her bother Special Numbers Club people in real life if there's a chance of grouping up.
