Giant Robot Check-In

Or things that are much LIKE giant robots.

So I figure it probably pertinent for those of us with freshly echoed giant robots/horrifying monstrosities/what have you to pick this discussion back up now that we're time-wise on the other side of Wise Snake.

What we do know is that the FBI will try to confiscate the Gundams/Evas to some capacity for the moment, but with the pilots still being able to oversee them, which is good since the Gundams and the Evas are locked to their pilots in one manner or another, but how is this to go about? That's mostly a mod question I'd suppose.

Really, I don't suppose any character is going to be in much of a position to stop the FBI from doing this for now, but if anyone is it'd probably be good to speak up~

As far as Neil is concerned, as the oldest of this motley crew of pilots, he's going to try and take some responsibility for the younger ones. (re: all of them) He would be trying ASAP to speak with the FBI and/or National Guard to try and leverage his military history and "hey we just saved the city" to get some cooperation. Which is the key thing - for right now, he's going to want to cooperate with the FBI if they're the ones overseeing the mecha.

But now that we've had some more experience with everything, does anyone else have any intentions? Plans? Figuring out where these weapons of mass destruction get shoved is probably vital for any of us doing much of anything, so it seems like a good thing to discuss!

Eugen will remain behind with his Gundam and be cooperative since 1) He's aching all over and wouldn't be able to put up much fight anyway. 2) He'll want to know what to do with the Gundam and it's logistic. 3) Professional interest. He'll try to negotiate about being allowed to work on the mechas and bring up his occupation and qualification to justify it.

What I'll like to know in regard of 3 is if he would be pulled out of University to work on the mecha directly or will he be allowed to maintain his RA position in LCU since he's working on his doctorate under the LCU's scholarship and grants. Or if the FBI will arrange for something else entirely?

He'll also tell the FBI what little he knows of the network (which really isn't much since he's new but he will certainly namedrops Sherman and Edwards for what they did. But he won't talk about the other Numbers if asked about it.

What the FBI will find is that Virtue is locked to Eugen alone and can only be piloted by him, it would never runs out of power and looks to have double of Dynames and Unicorn's body mass. It also has those large shoulder cannons to be accounted for.

Apologies for the delay in response!

HMM. I think that depends on how much time working on the Gundam(s) will take away from his doctorate. Whether or not he wants to try balancing the two is his choice, but he may not be able to for very long. I don't think the FBI would be keen on Eugen switching his doctorate subject onto the Gundams, either, because they wouldn't want that information published...

So he's probably going to need to choose one or the other.

He'll probably be able to balance them out since academic is what he does best but I think it will be a close call anyhow. I think at this point he will most likely put his doctorate on hold to work on the Gundams because it will be more important to figure out the Gundams considering what's happening in the city. And whatever he can learn from the Gundams research will probably be beneficial to his own thesis anyway.

Also, he'll like to move back to his staff dormitory in the University once the Gundams are relocated to the Mech Engineering Dept.
